If i reanstall, do I lose my character?

I have 7 copies of the same crash log, because its a re-occuring error

I cant exactly provide you with THAT many details, because I cant get on my character, I equiped a crude musket that did 22 damage and takes lvl 6 gun skill, and when I equiped it, my game crashed and every time i attempt to get back on my character It crashes at the 35% mark

I got a musket that took lvl 7 gun skill (My avatar is Antonio Cannonshot) and so after killing crabs for an hour I equiped it and my game crashed, now no matter what I do After pressing "play" at char. select I will hear the "ching" sound at 35% and then my game crashes
