2 Particular Glitches?

I've experienced 2 glitches since playing this game.

- The first being that I can't add friends, nor am I able to even bring up their player cards to add them.

- The second being that whenever I go onto my ship, my game crashes the near second that I begin to attack another ship.

Are these common occurrences with anyone else? Are there are any ways to get around these glitches?

My game did that crashing when attacking. Try turning sound off in the options, that fixed it for me.
