Seven long years it been since yer passing,

Here I still be, life lonely and humdrum.

All these salty seas I be compassing

I think of ye as I drink from me rum.

I recall ye caught that legendary,

And a tiny, wee grouper fish, caught I.

Ye bragged loud, I pushed ye off the ferry

We laughed so much, it brought tears to me eye.

Once, ye were caught by a Navy Cadet,

But I was there to distract and to hold.

I huffed, I haggled, and made quite the threat!

All while ye emptied his pockets of gold.

In the night, the time to pass is now mine.

I be seeing ye soon, my Valentine.
