Some of you might be able to relate to this, but y'all wouldn't know what H-O-T is until you come to down South, especially to the ...
State ...
a.k.a. the
'moody-weather state' (~ my own terminology

)
It's 'sad' that today was 95 F, and it actually felt pretty 'mild', compared to last weekend's 3-digit temps (102, 104, 106 then it dropped to 91 F after it rained). We have been hammered by isolated thunderstorm the past 3 days, and it brought down the temperature to the 'bearable' 90-s ...
Now if we had mid 80-s in mid June, don't be too comfy, because you knew that next week, temperature could jump 20 degrees hotter in a week time. Now if you wake up with 65 F in the morning, don't be fooled, because you knew it's going to be 100 F in the afternoon. Either we stay inside, or we get sick, or we 'suck it up and adjust' with 30-40 degrees difference between early morning and afternoon. That's my beloved state!
Don't get me wrong ... everything is still green here, since we are having thunderstorms ... in fact, my state is so green that we can't see any scenery farther than 300 ft ahead (unlike in Utah or Nevada, where we could see 5 miles ahead or further without any blocking view).
Its the dry desert-like heat I can't take.
It's the humid-heat that I can't take! It feels 10-15 degrees hotter, scorching, and suffocating. Just like in my state!
But I love my state, I don't want to move to where the desert-like heat takes place. In here, this is the time to enjoy:
and
Peach ice cream and Peach cobbler.
