No that's not what I meant, I meant you could just use your imagination to make a quest. Like my guild mates and I sometimes make a fake story line, and we go by that story line. Does that make sense?

I think that it could be a good idea, but the problem that you might run into with Disney is that they are very cautious about giving "powers" out to standard scallywags like ourselves. The only way we can manipulate something right now is through PvP (i.e. the number of players allowed in a match), Ship Customization, and glitching. What you're talking about, as far as I can tell, is setting up an invasion where we are the invaders and the enemies are the defenders, instead of the other way around, and choosing how many enemies there are to defeat. I fear Disney would not allow this to go through. The events that we make are fun and heartening, but they don't change the game, per se, except for the masses of pirates on the server that's chosen for the event.

Yeah, that's pretty much my idea.
And I don't think they'd care what we'd do to the level, seeing as it doesn't effect the game as a whole, just them.

So, I was talking with my friends in POTCO, and I came up with an idea.
Basically, you can plan a treasure map like thing for every cave, jungle, or any enemy infested area in the game. There wouldn't be a danger of somebody stealing your loot, seeing as it's just you and your crewmates. And the crew captain would decide how many more enemy's they would be, and their level range. It would be a much more fun way to loot and hang out with friends.
Also, it would be a challenge, something the game is lacking.
Plus, if you don't like the idea, you don't have to be involved with it. So everyone wins.
Thoughts?
Kind of like combat training on black ops

Just had an awesome idea to attract MUCH more people to the game. Make separate servers for each language and such, like make separate servers for people who speak Spanish, French, etc. only. Add a lot of their main words to the chat dictionary, BUT you can only say them with speedchat in their servers. Like, USA words for only USA servers, etc.

Then make ads in different languages and put them on different sites that are none-english speaking. This would attract SO much more people to the game. Sorry this is sort of off topic, but I had to get it out there and the title of the thread is called an idea, and this is an idea.
The Chat System automatically translates whatever you type in anyways so that it can be viewed by people speaking other languages. At least I'm pretty sure it does.

The aspect I like about this idea - SEAKING - is the player's ability to experience game control :D over the virtual world they experience.

Unless I am mistaken & to repeat one again, your idea would ultimately give pirates control over the enemy notoriety & the quantity of "how many" within a certain area. *However, I feel this idea could be further expanded to include other aspects within the game (in particular POTCO quest outcomes & scenarios). Briefly, let me explain...

A long time ago when I was a lad, I remember my parents had bought me this book to where by design, the book had SEVERAL DIFFERENT ENDINGS.

*Basically, for the first 2 or 3 chapters of the book... the reader was taken along a single path of adventure. However, the reader was forced to later pick one of several different options to where the storyline would deviate towards a specific & unique direction. Therefore, as each "choice" was decided upon the book would then refer the reader towards a certain page to where the option that was picked would (somehow) continue the story further along the path of alternative endings.

idk. Maybe it's crazy for me to think that POTCO quests could be redesigned in such a fashion but, "your idea" (I feel) is the beginning to some of the alternative thinking game developers should be thinking about if they would like to see subscription growth & player loyality continue online on POTCO.

So you can choose the enemies and the numbers of them like this

I think you understood me, your friends could teleport to a duplicate of a certain area, and you could decide the level and numbers of the enemies there. That make sense...?

You and your crew can choose the level of the enmies witch enemies and how many you do not get any rep its just all for fun thats ny idea :D
