I know there are couple of threads out there on this topic, but try typing MAC into the search and see what happens. It's not easy to find them..

I have a guildie who's running a MAC and she's very frustrated that she can't even get the game to run. I have found one or two discussions and she tried their tips to no avail.

So, I'm asking ANYONE hear for suggested and helpful hints for her.

An advantage you have with Mac is that while it's less than ideal, giving up and playing the Windows version is an option.

I'm on MacOS and I was able to get up and running without issue, so the fault likely lies with her system.

Knowing her MacOS version would be useful, but it could be something as simple as antivirus software, etc.

I am running MacOS Sierra and my game actually runs better than all of my windows computers of which i have 2...also it could be usefull if we knew exactly what the game does when you try to play

So my issues is basically i click the icon to play the ga,e and the icon pops up in the bottom bar and that's it, I click on the icon nothing happens except the top bar does say Pirates of the Carribbean on it but i can't click anything else. My Mac version is 10.9.5, its a 13 inch macbook pro. Let me know what other things you need (and probably where to find it, i'm kinda a pleb).

How old is your laptop?

Running macos Sierra Having no issues at all. Maybe crashed all of 5 times in the past few weeks since the game reopened. Game always runs smooth with high framrate. May upgrade to the developer version of High Sierra/Public Beta and see how that works. Running on a Macbook Pro Retina Early 2015 with 2.7gh i5, 8g ram, 1.5g vram

I can confirm that it crashes my MBP with same specs as your device (but 16GB RAM). I recommend that you don't update as the file system changes may not be reversible.
