Question Best way to level up notoriety?

I've always used main quest line - it levels ya quickly at the start and due to the go and kill this portion helps with skills as well.

I had a friend who started after me and never touched it but fished a lot and caught up to me quickly. After that I would say fishing is pretty quick way to go.
 
best way by far is to do questing, but it will only get you so far. You also have to fight, plunder ships, and all manners of piratey things to be done. I only have the final part of the Black Pearl story quest to do and I'm at level 44. When the Raven's Cove and Escondida stuff is added, I'll may be able to get to level 48, then again, I've yet to master shooting, cannons, and sailing.
 
Try playing the game. That in of itself will level your notoriety...

Ah, my apologizes, I am not sure on which quests to take but even if you do level the skills the rep still goes to your notoriety so its still a win win.
