I disagree. Looting Darkhart is very effective. That's how I got my War Brig. I looted at him for a while everyday and got about 10k a day. After less than 8 days (since sometimes I looted over 10k) I got my War Brig.

Again the Blackjack way I suggested is by far the most effective if you have lots of cheat cards. I did Darkhart for my war brig because I didn't know about the blackjack way. On the other hand if you would like a chance at fames and brights while you get gold Darkhart is a very good choice (or if you don't have enough cards for cheating)

In conclusion the blackjack cheating is extremely effective and by far the most effective.

Darkhart is still a good choice though if you want to pick up some more loot while your there. I got several fames on the journey to getting enough gold for a war brig there. He drops about 100 gold every minute. (sometimes more or less so more will make up for less and less will make up for more) anyway that means you aproximently get 100 gold per minute = 1000 gold per 10 minute = 6000 gold per hour = 9000 gold per 1 and a half hours.

So if you loot DH every day for about 1 and a half hours (sometimes more or less) you will get about 9000 gold.

But actual you will get more because Darkhart drops a lot of rare weapons which you can sell for a few 100s

Sometimes this happens even faster (usually doesn't take longer unless you get lots of bad hands)

Is that post-nerf (looting change)? Pre-nerf I knew Darkhart (and tormenta) were faster gold than sailing, but I definitely get more than 10k every 90 minutes from sailing.

Less than 90 mins, even. Only takes about 1-3 decent runs to get 10k. I'd say probably closer to 60 minutes, depending on how good your driver is at doing these types of massive loot hauls

Hence "definitely get more than 10k" haha, I was saying sailing is considerably better than that. Which I find strange, because the few times I've done darkhart looting (I don't do land combat often) I saw a pretty great income. Tormenta even more!

I'm sorry could you please restate your question? I'm confused. Also what do you mean by post nerf and pre nerf?

By "nerf", we mean the rewrite of the looting system. The looting system rewrite pretty much nerfed the loot drops for land bosses and buffed the loot drops while sailing. Pre-nerf means before the rewrite, and post-nerf is since the rewrite.

As @David Ironeagle says - the "nerf" is reference to the loot system rewrite. The general consensus is bosses drop a lot less gold ever since.

My question was whether or not the numbers I was quoting were from before the change. My point being before the "nerf" I found darkhart and tormenta to be faster gold than sailing, but the numbers he gave were much lower.
