Its been confirmed that It’ll be released along side with the new lobbies system they’re implementing sometime in a future update

They are testing it on the new server right now to get the bugs out of it and then it will be released.

Note today said that "older" pirates that finished the BP quest will get leadership. What defines OLDER? So many variations. But in any case I finished the danged quest and still await the opportunity for the final battle.

People whom were playing in OLDER years of TLOPO are 2017ish. You could do BP quest and not get the reward at all due to some glitch.

Its a glitch too where they did the boss battle yet didn't get "leadership" - the reward of BP quest.
