I don't know the actual mechanics of enemies and how they decide who and when to attack, but please consider making bosses aware of AFK toons sleeping right in the middle of almost every boss fight. As it is now, as many as they want, alts are afk'd, and sleep inside of tight boss fights, sometimes numbering over 20 people with more than 5 sleeping directly in the way. If a afk pirate is standing directly next to a boss, then that pirate should take damage as anyone else crowding in. It's a risk a alt player will/should have to take.

If the npc scans their proximity or whatever, please have them start damaging afk as well. If anything, this will make people back out of range and then afk their toon out of the way to jump around.

To be fair I witnessed this last night. People in the crew I was in at Jimmy Legs were all AFK so I left for a moment (walked around the corner) came back and they were both knocked out. No one else was in the area that I saw.

Something else happened because enemies do not key up on standing alts. Never. Not on their own.

You can get the boss to attack them by positioning yourself so that the boss will hit them once the boss hits them it will continue to do so unless you defeat it so let it take the afkers out before finishing it off, this may not work for voodoo wielding bosses, not sure, but it does for others for sure.

That doesn't always work, but what always works is to get the boss to move out of his original position and THEN position yourself behind the afk then the npc will finally recognize the toon. I've seen countless times multiple afk alone with a boss, no active player - ANY boss and never seen them touched. I've seen countless times where I stand directly behind akf and throw a knife, and the boss, not advancing because I am standing close enough he will not advance but will attack me, going straight through the afk.
However, if I back up, and the boss moves out of their spawn spot, if I bring him back to the afk area and then stand behind the afk, he will eventually pick up the afk. No other way have I whitnessed a boss in spot hitting afk.
