We all miss the cannon defense game. I would love to see the community who also love it. To show support about fixing the cannon ram and the mini back into the game we love.
 
man i remember staying up all night to get rev ram but it was taken away from me because some people exploited it. Most people that didnt have beta key like me werent even able to get to the exploit level where the exploit came in to factor due to the time slots running out but oh well, Just hope the defense is added back in pretty soon.
 
They had major problems with the game that people took advantage of. I lost my rams and hadn't even played the game...but I am not complaining. I understood it was the best way to take care of the situation since so many took advantage. I too want the game back but I am waiting till the bugs are worked out so we can all play the right way. In the meantime, it would be nice if we could use the rams, globes, etc in sailing that we already have it that was possible. I don't know if they are somehow attached to the mini game or why we can't use what we already have. Is there an explanation why we can't use them?

I was here just at the last week or so when cannon defense was shut down. I didn't get anything because it was real broke then. Perhaps it's a case of all cannon defense items being disabled so that no one could use them which might have made it easier than searching through individual accounts by the hundreds. I don't think it's so much a punishment, more of an easier way to stop the defense game and items received from it.

We have no way of knowing what the delay is or why it's been this way for so long. Don't even know what the glitch or exploit was.
I had just joined and discovered cannon defense by accident and didn't even know what it was. I really like cannon and shooting things and stuff so it's disappointing for now.

I just kind of figured using the rams, globes, etc must be connected to the mini game otherwise I would think we could be using them. I was so use to having them in POTCO and will be thankful when they are back.

how was that the best thing to do? they took away everyones rams including people that didnt know about the exploit. They could of easily figure it out based on who had beta key and who didnt. I didnt have my key i barely got my rev ram and that was way way before the stage where exploit occured, i physically couldnt get to the exploit zone without beta key no matter what because the time allocated would run out and i had to wait like 4 hours before even trying to get another playslot. They also took famed rams from fishing that werent possible to get from cannon defense. The situation could of been dealt way way better by devs but i guess they didnt. We just hoped the mode would of been in by this time.
 
I lost my rams too. I didn't play the mini game at that time because I had issues with it freezing up on me. I understand how you feel but it was a hard choice for them to make. If they had reset the game back a few days to try and take care of it then even more people would have lost everything they worked for in that time period. It was a tough choice for them. I too didn't know what the exploit was either. When the mini game reopens and works properly we can go back and get the rams. I played the mini game a lot in POTCO and got the good rams for all my characters. Having our rams taken away through no fault of our own wasn't easy to swallow at first but it became evident that this exploit was really taken advantage of by many many players and with them not working on the game full time it would have been quite cumbersome to try and figure out who got their rams before or after the fact. So their two obvious choices were take all rams or reset the game back 3-5 or more days. They know how upsetting it is either way but they believed it was best just to take the rams vs everyone losing so many days of work on their pirates. If they reset the game more than rams would have been lost.

they didnt rollback they just took away all rams i think. I mean it would of been easier to figure out by just looking at peoples accounts. Non-beta key users could not get to the exploit at all before their time running out. Still whats done is done just need the mode back in, its been over a year and still no updates about it.
 
I have no idea what the exploit was but I guess you do since you know where it was in the game. As far as I know you could get good rams at the beginning of the game with the exploit, I don't know. I didn't say they rolled back but that could have been an option and they chose to just remove rams. And I personally don't mind losing a couple of rams vs losing days of working on my pirate. There are too many people playing the game to go through each account individually. The devs and staff are all volunteer...they are not paid employees so this was the easiest solution for them.

well again the devs clearly stepped overbound with that complete removal but whats done is done. Most people didnt know about the exploit because of their limited playtime since beta keys werent possible to get for most people. The exploit occurred at a high wave, it was high enough to the point where most people like me that didnt have the beta key couldnt reach it no matter what, even if i start my playtime and instantly start doing cannon defense i would not be able to reach that exploit wave before being booted off, the only bugs i had found were bad ones that made some members on team not level up at all and be weak and also not being able to get all spots filled. That exploit that very few people knew about was barely exploited and me and many other only knew about it after the removal of rams and someone made a video on what it was.
 
I like playing CD with a friend or two. I like playing it solo, too. Right nothing works right with regards to rams and charts and stuff. They just don't work which is very stupid. FIX CD. Make RAMS WORK. Make CHARTS WORK.

And oh, please make the CRITICAL STRIKES work. Basic, and should NOT be hard fix / implement. Please. We have more than enough special swords. We need more game play that actually works.

Seriously, this game is many things, good and not so good, but calling it stupid is, well, sorta stupid.
Not cool given all the hard work, free time, cash and aggravation the devs have had to deal with.
I'm a salty guy and that comment bothers me.
 
darn you people need to be less defensive. Its not that bad that he called rams not working stupid, calm it down he hasnt done anything to warrant that level of defensiveness from you people. And can you guys just not shut down any conversation about the game by the classic "DEVS SAINTSSSS THEY DO FREE WORK". We get it. Its a forum about the game people are gonna act like people do and talk about stuff.
 
I apologize for using the word "stupid" in my rant. I was having a really bad day with the game, getting kicked off so often that I think I ended up with about 10% successful trips. But my point remains. The things I talked about are basic parts of the game. We don't get swords or guns that don't work, but we get charms and such that don't. Every mini-game that is in TLOPO works, except CD. Maybe a lot of people don't care, but I do. I LIKE CD and enjoyed playing solo and with friends. I would love to be able to experience that fun again, as well as reap some rewards that help, and actually work. I like playing solo and having weapons with critical strikes is part of the game, but those strikes just don't seem to work. It makes the game more difficult, when I should be enjoying the features of the weapons.

I really don't think most of these will be difficult to fix. I hope the devs and get to them soon. I know they have their own priorities such as adding new content and areas, fixing up SvS and PvP for those that like that style of play. They have done a fantastic job.

All of that said, I do not like seeing people attacked here for how they say something, not for what is meant in the post.

I agree with you on all counts related to weapons, sea charms/rams and cannon defense.
Honey get's you much further in life than vinegar, most times anyway.
