Idea Buried treasure

I wanna go on a treasure hunt.

Stick a special item like a Seven Seas Repeater or a unique hat in a random dig spot in the game somewhere and let the first person who finds it keep it. Maybe the developers could hold contests like this on a regular basis. I think that'd be fun.

What an excellent idea. Maybe even add never seen content that can ONLY be found from digging. However, rarity of finding one will have to be done correctly.

This was patched shortly after "reset keys" started to occur.

Just don't make the items super amazing and I'm sure the rarity won't matter too much to most people. A moderately powerful famed is as good as they should get.

I did some checking and, if I counted correctly, there are 102 dig spots including the one in Forsaken Shallows.

I'd guess that there are around double that number of other searchable spots. Might check just for fun.
