We actually do have some codes at the moment - Blackjack and Scoundrel - so feel free to redeem them!
As for leveling, there's plenty of guides all about the place on the best places to level, I'd start by looking in the guides section or using the search bar.

The game should start us pirates at level 50 and give us level 6 maxed warships of our choosing!
We should also be given max gold so we don't have to worry about that as well as a full weapons belt of famed and legendary weapons so we can be done with it already.
Then, it should just let us play some other game, somewhere else, and not be bothered with this one!

Hint : I never Use up all my Skill Points for fast kills vs XP ! I usually have between 8 - 10 Pts to use when they become Mastered !
P.S. Grenades : I retrain as soon as I get those !
