Recently, some memories flooded back to me of a pc game from 10-ish years ago, but for the life of me, I can't remember what it was called. I believe it started with an "F"?
Anyways, you would buy the game itself and a "port" that had a usb on it and then you could buy individual little alien-esque figures to plug into it and explore as that specific figure and each figure unlocked different worlds, games, merch, etc to find.
