cant seem to launching the game from tlopo launcher

Did you find out a solution? The reason I am asking is mine is doing the same thing/... I have not been able to play for a week now. It crashes after I select my pirate, I hear gold drop and then it shuts down and brings me back to my desk top!

It is a PC... in looking at the posts it seems its something called an assertion error?

I had something similar happen to me. I was told to delete my game_options.txt

Try that to see if that fixes it.
