Weapons Chances of looting?

So its come to my attention that level of desired weapon comes into play for looting, but is there any set drop rate? Like if there is do any of you have it on hand? Or can you link it? All help is appreciated.

There are a lot of "historical" blogs about this from the days of POTCO that you can find if you look around here and on other sites... as for now loot & plunder is a work in progress and changing all the time.
