Every time I try to join the chat it wont let me, it says connected but it never does. Anyway to fix this?

I keep getting: Joining channel..
and that keeps going on and won't let me join

I removed the +r mode the channel had on that requires you to auth to enter. You could not enter because you did not auth but once it was removed it let you in.
