Hi all

Just back into the game and noticed a treasure convoy appeared in 10 mins then 5, then no notification and suddenly one to say it had been sunk. Do you have to be at sea before it starts?

Also are their certain time that these events occur?

I believe they happen randomly
You don't have to be at sea before it starts but if you are on a populated server it might get sunk before you get on your boat

You can always visit https://api.tlopo.com/shards/ to check if a fleet or invasion is active. It's not pretty because its the api intended to be used by separate applications but you could still use it as a quick and dirty way to check if there are any active fleets on any of the servers. If a fleet is active on a particular server it's fleet key will be populated with information about it. I'm actually thinking of writing a tool to show this information in a easy to read way and that can send you notifications about currently active items, but probably won't get around to it. If you use discord you could always host and then run the bot TLOPO has developed which has a command to see this information.
