Looked again at Dark Archive and liked everything except the loot rules.
I find them archaic, ludicrous, unattainable and juvenile. Were these rules written back in 2009 while in potco?
To enforce such restrictive rules in a open mmo is ridiculous and I'm amazed that sort of conduct has survived all these years in such a quality guild AND game. This 'claim' mentality is a suffocating collar to an open mmo.
Everything about this guild is quality and inviting, but the loot kills it.
May Archive prosper and grow nonetheless.
That is your opinion and you are entitled to it. We have over 450 people who disagree with you ( 481 current members, but some are alts of members).
To answer your question, the looting rules were added on November 27, 2011. From the beginning (which was in 2009), our guild has been lead by our Guild Master Jason Firewalker, but it is the officers who determine the rules of the guild. Our officers meet every other week to discuss issues and, if necessary, tweak our rules. Officers base their votes on the feedback we receive from members, their observations and experiences, and on the changing circumstances provided by the game. Our main goal is to keep the peace in the guild, provide a family friendly environment, and help keep our members and their pirates safe. If you are super bored and have nothing better to do, our officer meeting notes are public and can be found here: http://darkarchive.guildlaunch.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=1398689&gid=196449
So far our rules have served our guild well. We have a very active guild and I consider them my digital family. We realize our guild is not for everyone. Those who disagree with our rules typically say so and are never guilded. Sometimes they try it for a period of time but then leave. There's nothing wrong with that .
To each his own.
