Second: get a real girl friend or boy friend in real life -_-
Third: if your not dating that person in real life if you are... i guess continue...

i agree with most of the people here, you can build quite a strong relationship with someone on this game, but, take into real life, people! some people really don't wanna have to listen to all these..... words... and whatnot.. lol. dont get me wrong, i have a few very good friends on here, but if i was to ever ' like ' them i would take into real. but, i dont have feelings for anyone so, yay me lol :D
 
I just have family and my girlfriend that play this game with me. I take real into pirates i do not support those that date on pirates online. Neither do my guildmembers. We're an actual gaming guild that spans on other games. So we want to play not deal with your love life.
 
I play other games online, & I just can't believe I've met some people who think It's reality.
They argue with me & say, "Well, your talking to me while we play this, so it is reality to a certain extent". I'll agree to a certain extent, yes you are talking to another person in real life, but you still can't really date someone in a game & think it's reality. Yes, you talk to each other, but do you see each other for real? NO! Unless you use a web cam with a utility. You can still only take web cam dateing to an extent. You need to meet in real life, that is reality.

I love everyone's thought on dating and reality, whether someone wants to admit it or not, it would be MUCH more fun going to a tavern and playing poker with a date in real life then online.
 
i asked my friend on the game about this dating on potco, and they had a good point- You dont know whether your dating a 70 year old geezer that does bad stuff on their free time, or a little 4 year old that doesnt know anything about the dangers of internet!
 
Well, I found this particular forum, oddly enough, by googling about this whole potco dating thing. I'm a longtime player who's been away for quite a while. When I recently returned to the game, suddenly my character is being hit on left right and center. Glad to see I'm not the only one unnerved by this whole ridiculous thing. Yeesh!
 
Just to show how wrong people are everytime i go to tortuga witch i need to do some times (quests) i see the pictures posted at the bottom -_- its really distrubing

thats just wrong :eek: in abassa (idk why i was there...) on tortuga i saw something like that but it came with words to match it.... surprising what people do on Disney kid games.
 
i personally think its kind of cute :P i mean... idk you guys are going to think im crazy but i have actually video chatted with all my friends from pirates.. or most :P but then again if your responsible and they turn out to be the same age as you it really doesn't matter...

lol, i always make sure i know the person im talking to isnt an old 70 yr old geezer... nothing against old ppl they r just creepy :eek: except the nice ones....
