Hi everyone,
Another quick and juicy update for you all here!
Today's developer insider is all about "Optimizing the Caribbean"! We too hate the slow frame-rate of the game... the constant stutters and persistent lag. Well, take a look at what's in the pipes!
The left screen is a copy of our latest development build, incorporating a monumental amount of optimizations. The right is a copy of the live server.
This a video of TLOPO's developer client running. The frame-rate isn't as accurate to the picture above due to recording a video and running the full TLOPO server in the background (our poor laptop can only handle so much), as soon as the video is turned off it shoots right back up to 100+.
