Sorry to say, but everyone here is correct - we are not planning on opening our own official discord, nor do we endorse fan made ones. You're free to make your own, but it'll be unofficial
We can not hire moderators purely for discord alone, as that'd be counter-productive to why we shut IRC down. This was done in the past with IRC (IRC vs Game Mods), but it was proven to be more effective to focus all our moderation efforts on the game, more so with all the new players joining up to sail the Caribbean once again!
As it stands, there's a ton of unofficial discords out there right now - some of them quite massive - so feel free to join those since we won't be making an official one. I wish you luck on yours matey, and fair winds!
