Sailing Enemy ships super fast and accurate while ours are NOT!

Level 48 pirate here with all but sailing mastered.

One of the issues with sailing that is apparent is the discrepancy between enemy ships and our pirate ships.

Once hit, the enemy rapidly turns and races to your ship much faster than normal.
And if you're ship is defensively moving to avoid contact, they accurately hit your ship without fail. Even in turns, they have the ability to hit your ship and cause damage.

Our ships on the other hand are slower to respond.
My broadsides miss hitting enemies more than 50% of the time. And they're right next to me on the left or right. If I'm turning in a circle to keep them from hitting my ship, I'm pretty much guaranteed to miss with broadsides at least 75% or more depending on the ship. The broadsides scatter in a cluster as if they have no idea a ship is so close.

Please adjust the aggressive nature of the enemy ships or increase our broadside skills to make it more even on the open seas!

THANKS SO MUCH!

I agree. Broadsides against Hunters and Warships are deliberately pathetic, as if they really are trying to miss.
When I shoot my left broadsides, I expect them to go to the left, not to the rear, to the front, to the opposite side or into the bottom of my ship. Likewise with the right broadsides.
When my left or right broadsides moves in slow motion, into the water next to the ship attacking me, I want to scream!
When they shoot in the opposite direction, I can feel the veins bulging in my neck and forehead!
And then there are those times when the Hunter or warship, or both, ping my fleeing ship incessantly, each one firing every 4 seconds, as if a mod were on board the enemy, waiting for his thunderbolts to load and aim and shoot me...
Stop it dudes, really, please stop it.
Otherwise, simply make the broadsides so that they only shoot in 90 degree, perpendicular aim, so I know where to target them.
The AI is anything but intelligent, and it's an insult to ours.

While I agree that player broadsides aiming are wonky at best, I see enemy broadsides miss all the time, at all levels. I recently master sailing so I have done a bit of it, but hunters and warships are the worst. I can circle them taking little to no damage, their broadsides miss like 90% of the time, and if they do hit, its only like 1 for a few hundred dmg.
