Ever been in a band?

I'd love to be in one but I can't get the equipment.I wrote like 9 songs I think?And am working on another couple.I planned for the band to be called "NeckHunt" not only does it sound cool but it has meaning.XD At our school we play the neck game.*Someone does/says something stupid you call "NECK" and slap their neck.*But NeckHunt would be the name because it would mean Hunting down stupid things.I didn't get far,but I asked my friend who plays guitar that if I started a band if he would play in it.He said yes.I planned for the first album to be called "Origins".And I do have musical experience.Playing trumpet,guitar,and piano.What about you guys?Ever wanted to be in a band/have been in one?
 
I am in one right now. It was me and a couple of friends that decided to create a rock band. So for the first couple of months I was playing the bass because no one knew to play the bass besides me. But after we found a bass player I switched to lead guitar and we started to give concerts (very little ones). After some time we got pretty good. We gave concerts to our school, pubs etc... Now I can get much more joy from the music I play. ;)

I wanted to be in a band once. I have written quite a few of my own songs, (and poems that have the potential to be songs) three of them were successful, meaning I got the chorus, pitch and notes going and remembered them. I just haven't been able to pick up an instrument. I'd have to be lead singer in a band, were I to be in one. And I don't think the name "NeckHunt" is too bad, just please don't do it because of the beef neck/Neck thing. It kinda throws a curve ball to your band name. "Origins" I think that is an awesome name for an Album. Would you mind sharing some of your songs? Writing them I mean, I'd love to see what you can write for songs.

There was a poem I made not too long ago, on this, but I didn't want to post it just yet.
But here it is.... One of my more happier poems. I've also written songs, but I'd have to type those out, their pretty long.

Wow. That's pretty good. I reccomend you try and get that published in a book or something.

Really? You think so? I wish I could find a way to do something like that... but idk.... I think I need to work on fixing up my writing a bit. Your a pretty good writer yourself, I liked your piece. It was very good.

Yeah I really think you should. I think what you should do is get a collection of poems you wrote, and put them together in a book, and speak to a publisher. I'm writing a book right now and trying to get it published. And thanks for the compliment, I have other songs that are better in my opinion but I can't find the lyrics.

Nice, you should do that. Whats the book going to be about? Your welcome for the complement, it was true. And it's okay, I wouldn't want anyone to take your work. Thats why I did that to mine. With the screenshots. And maybe I will collect them together, I didnt think of that before, its a good idea. I had started writing a book too, Got to the first chapter.. on the second, I just got to get back to it. I love writing, Its one of those rare things Im okay at. Do you right poems? or just songs?

By the way I like your profile pic. It's pretty good. Reminds me of my favorite band. lol.
 
Lol. Yeah I made the profile pic myself by Snapchst drawing,snapchat filter,Instagram filter, and then iPad photos filter. My book is a sci fi actions adventure kind of like Star Wars, but it has its own unique style and things in its universe. I have the first chapter done. Yeah I write poems every now and then, their just a little bit dark and gothic.
