Feed Back (you asked for it )

I don't see why the event should be limited further and made rarer than it already is. If anything, the event should happen more often, not less. Your second point would definitely prevent such actions, but I think that zombies should still be allowed to attack humans though not with guns since it was apparently like this in potco (with the no shooting humans thing and all).
I’d certainly be happy with only the second point, it’s just unacceptable to let people hang in front of a jail and nade everyone that comes out. I think if you are a skeleton then you are fair game but it seems to me that Disney’s intent was to allow ppl to opt out by being indoors, in a cave, or at sea and that is not happening here in tlopo land. I don’t remember players running into caves and nading other players that didn’t want to participate when I played potco, was it a problem then too???

Don't recall this in POTCO either. Maybe no one thought to do it back then?

The event was fun in potco when a group of 20 dedicated players couldn't wipe the population of a whole server.

Especially since back then there were more players and more servers to move to. Now with the games overall population being much lower it is quite a bit harder to distance yourself from the event (especially if you are trying to look one of new super strong bosses in the caverns)

There needs to either be a safe server or players should lose the curse if they walk to far into an area (aka entering the cursed caverns is fine, entering the forsaken shallows causes the curse to go away.)

I'm sure the devs will figure something out they are generally pretty good about taking feedback and I'm sure they have heard plenty of it regarding this event in recent months.

Here’s my 2 cents:
  1. The event should be cut down to only one day, Friday.
  2. Affected players should only be able to attack other affected players, this would prevent trolls from camping in front of jails and running to popular cave looting areas and dropping nades on players that never wanted to participate in the first place.
I don't agree with zombie against zombie only. The concept is sound and the mode can be fun. Forcing the mode is the 'touchy' issue.
I haven't done the moon since by accident last year and didn't even know about safe havens. Can zombies take out zombies? Also, I turned zombie so fast my dead head spun around like 15 times. I didn't know what hit me. I'm still not sure what happened.

So, are you saying that you want zombies to come and kill you when you are minding your own business or you want to be a zombie and go kill a bunch of pirates that didn’t want to participate in the first place?

Why not? It's an event. I don't know why such a mode is actually added or needed. But it's being included in the game. It's not my game, I'm doing it for free. Technically I have nothing to say about anything directly effecting the control of the game nor can I demand change. I've come to accept that. But I think suggesting a choice of participation is all I would/could/hope to ask for. Then the event does it's thing and I'm free to try it on my own time if interested. The choice could come as a safe server as well.

As I've said now for years, the only time in tlopo where play is not solo and invisible (or not effecting any one else directly) is in PVP, and zombie. I don't need to see, feel or be affected by PVP in any shape if I choose so. It goes on for who the itch scratches. I only ask that zombie be the same way. A cave is open, a zombie walks in. You can't close a cave. However, the staff can fix accidental or intentional wall hacks and other crap that players use to ambush people. What's the difference if a guild is zombie or themselves if they can use exploits the same way in caves and other places? Nothing that I can see. Fix the exploits and pirates would play this as they should, they post guards, team up for protection or stay in the taverns and get drunk. Zombies are physical, albeit slimy and sloppy but they shouldn't be able to get past walls and rocks and closed places like a regular person can't do. An open cave realistically should stay open. People will just have to adjust their group mentality to fight the Moon times. I don't see a problem with the event, but 95% of this thread is about being picked on in caves where people are boss mobbing and trying to ignore the event. But the attacks are not as they should be, meaning slower shambling creatures invading spaces the normal way, through one entrance or another entrance and dealt with by defenses. Annoying, but if as designed, probably pretty much controllable. Cheating by hiding in walls and sieging grenades invisibly is not part of the design. And that is what should be addressed. And as suggested, a choice to even participate or not if desired.

And I just thought about something game wise. If people want caves closed so they can sit in there, then I think the game would have to have some heavy overhead to be able to track all players who mob up in any cave and then dynamically change some fundamental part just to lock that group in there, then open it up again. All at random and dynamic for a couple hours? I would think that's a little too much to ask for.

Hope this helped.
