Idea Fleets... guild wars

Maybe this plan could be implanted:

Players can create in guilds fleets for war, so when you are in the same guild and a pirate has a fleet you can sail under his command, so you be captain, but you borrow the ship without purchasing the ship

I mean: You can borrow ships from your guild and be temp captain of it..... so low class pirates can still enter big fights

So, would this be some kind of SvS option? It can already be done as you describe in SvS but would not be easy to organize. Maybe it could be made easy with some additions to SvS. Not sure how popular it might be and whether it might fuel animosity between guilds. There was an earlier thread about SvS regattas and I thought there were a lot of cool ideas thrown out. I do like the idea of more organized SvS events but think they need to be carefully thought out to avoid hard feelings when things go wrong.
