Question Forum teamspeak

Hey guys, I've seen this trend going on and on recently where a lot of the active and growing internet communities make use of teamspeak, or discord or another VOIP chat sytem. Does this forum have it's own teamspeak or are there any plans for that to happen?

I figure when the game hits open beta, a lot of the guilds are going to have their own voip rooms, but is there a thing for the entire community, as opposed to that exclusive guild voice chat system that's probably going to happen?

:type:

I believe the IRC will remain the only official (TLOPO run/endorsed) channel of instant-messaging/VOIP type of communication. Anything beyond that becomes very difficult to moderate. A number of members here have posted advertising TeamSpeaks, Discords, etc. in the past, although I'm not sure they've caught on.

TBH... even though having a ts is a cool idea, am i the only one who really finds it 10% necessary and 90% for chit chat? POTCO never had the standards of other popular MMOs. It didn't have raids or world bosses, or special dungeon and boss mechanics other than facerolling spamming buttons. Hell it never even had stats on weapons and armor(clothes or whatever). There was never a need for ts unless you wanna shout orders when svs'ing for example or sailing.. but other than that maybe I'm missing something here however I still don't see the need for a proper ts channel. The already existing chat seems to be decent and covering the needs, just my 2cents though.

I agree with you completely about the 10%/90% thing, but to be completely honest chit chat was kind of what I had in mind anyway. I don't know, it just feels more personal when you're gaming with friends (real life or online) and you can share the laughs or just yack away about anything.

yeah so do i, just idk, was used to having like skype or Curse for 'friends only' and then ts for more raiding based stuff

Oh I just used TS/Discord as an example because Skype always gave off that business vibe I was never quite fond of hahah :D Plus I aleays felt like it was such a huge resource hog, so I tend to turn it off when gaming.

Curse voice is amazing and I love using it when I'm playing something it seamlessly integrates with (LoL, WoW, CS GO etc.)
