Future plans [Answered]

When this game is released it is going to be subscription based like the original? Is there a planned date for the release? Is it going to remain "closed" (requires winning a key to get in)

1. Everyone will have unlimited access, there will be no subscriptions like there were in POTCO.
2. There are currently no planned dates, if a date is decided on it will be posted on this website, TLOPO's website, and the TLOPO Facebook.
3. At the launch of beta, it will be semi-open. That means you can access the game any time if you have a key, and you can also reserve playtimes to play if you don't have a key. Eventually, beta will be completely open.

Good to know and thanks for the speedy reply!

It is said that all good things come to an end, Balderdash. I donate money to a radio station KUSC, to keep Classical music on the Frequency Modulated Dial and on the web. I do not want TLOPO to end in the future You have to pay the bills to come in the future. 70% of the money given to KUSC is from people whom give 40 to 200 dollars a years. These folks are around the globe, just like all of us, pirates in arms. When the time comes and you need support to paid you bills in the future, lien on me and I'll shall donate. Sincerely.

TLOPO has stated that they will never accept donations.

You and others whom are supportive of "donations:"
  • Ask Disney first what they think and then let's talk

I guess those with the feeling of honest folks and the disappearance of magic we can create. Can not compete against those whom don't trust any more. The future is wide open, the straight road run is narrow, Wall Street gave Disneyland 30 days to fail. They fail on Walt Disney, I hope they don't do the same as Wall Street did. My apologies for making your skin itch.

Humble Regards Pinky

I'm trying to understand the points you have tried to say so, apologies to you if I am misunderstanding. (Also, no worries about the 'itching' as I've learned some time ago to carry a big stick around for those hard to reach places). :)

About your first point, it doesn't really matter - in Disney's eyes - if we're honest folks (or dishonest folks) whom seek to recreate such "magic." Disney cannot distinguish between the two. It is for that very reason why POTCO's own terms were put into place; to protect the Disney work against the unknown. Looking at things in this way through Disney's eyes, the terms of use put into place are not to ruin everyone's fun/enjoyment but rather for them to have some sort of control over the equivocally unknown.

*Those terms of use (unfortunately) cannot distinguish between an honest or a dishonest reverse-engineer. Important to the donations issue...how could it?
;)

If you ever wanted to help out with funds you'd probably have to become part of the team, and not just simply giving them the money to pay for and actually paying for it yourself.
At least I'm assuming that's how it would be even considered possible to "donate" in a sense.
