I found a mod for Age of Empires III that I really enjoy. It's called "Napoleonic Era" and introduces new civilizations to play as, new units, new buildings, new technologies, etc. https://ne.elpea.net/forum/downloads.html
To download and run the game, you have to have all of the Age of Empires III games already installed, from the base game of AOE III to Warchiefs, and to Asian Dynasties. You have to make sure they are up to date as well.

I would recommend Stellaris (where I found my Profile Picture), and Hearts of Iron IV for anyone into 4x games.
I also recommend Battlefleet Gothic: Armada for 40k RTS, as well as its upcoming sequel.
Lastly I recommend Doom (2016) as a "When angry, play this" type of game.
