So on my first day I've encountered a lot of glitches that I'll be posting below, maybe tomorrow if I get to play I'll add onto this.
Sea
Land
Loot
Crashes
Graphical Issues
Buildings
End
That's all I've found on my first day and I apologize if it's long, I just played this game with my father for years and I'd like to be able to do that again. I'd also like to thank your team for making this game come back and I cannot express how humble I am. Thanks ~ Savvy.
Sea
- Enemy ships will randomly respawn in the exact same place as the one you are fighting. For example a man-o-war respawned in the same place as the one I was fighting glitching into each other.
- Broadsides will fall into the water if you are too close to an enemy and display a message, "You cannot damage other player's ships." Or something like that.
- Cannons shakes randomly, this is just a graphic glitch it seems, but it's still annoying.
- Repairing will occasionally freeze your ship and if you get off of the repair minigame you can't do anything for a while until the minigame screen pops up again. This leads you to having the minigame open while on a cannon or the steering wheel.
- Enemy ships will glide backwards rapidly and can fling themselves off of your ship flying far away.
- Enemy ship damage appears to be scaled wrong. A broadside from a man-o-war and death omen barely dented my light galleon.
- Enemy ships appear to fire the wrong ammunition, firing only basic shots rather than fire, etc.
- Plunder will often show up 2x rather than 1, meaning you see the same loot twice.
- Player ship duplicating in the ship menu. My light galleon duplicated itself and it allowed me to sell the other one with no drawbacks.
- Enemy ships appear to have WAY lower health than they should, mainly war ships. Once their armor is damaged they can be sunk by light ships very fast.
- Enemy ships won't fire sometimes even if their broadsides are facing you.
Land
- Enemy units will give up chasing you after a while, their pathfinding seems to get confused and just stop.
- Enemy units will randomly attack the air even if you are VERY far away attacking them with ranged weapons.
- Enemy units sometimes throw their abilities backwards hitting nothing or hitting you even if you aren't there.
- Standing on-top of platforms seems to make the AI either teleport to you or simply stand at the bottom letting you kill them.
- Loot will occasionally drop in midair preventing you from getting it.
- Misses sometimes count as hits still dealing damage despite showing it missed.
Loot
- Ammo, grenades, and cannon ammunition dropping despite not being unlocked.
- Vanity items(clothes) dropping from chest when they shouldn't?
- Weapons far higher level than the mob dropping sometimes.
- High level enemy ships (tested man-o-wars and undead ships) don't seem to drop chest/royal chest. And if they do the drop rate is VERY low.
Crashes
- When docking you will often crash, losing your loot completely.
- When docking you will sometimes crash then lose your ship for a while, either until you log out/back in multiple times or you crash and get lucky to find it again.
- Leaving a cave or entering can result in a crash.
- Teleporting can result in a crash.
- Exiting a building can make you crash.
- Boarding your own ship can crash you multiple times.
- Logging in after crashing on a ship can make you crash immediately.
Graphical Issues
- While in swamps the water will flash creating a strobe effect.
- Sometimes when docking you will fall through the island and be stuck in water. This has happened several different ways to me. One being I simply fell through it and had to swim to get out, the other being I could see my ship and the water turned pink - the game believed I was at sea still.
- Major FPS drops or low FPS. I have a GTX 1060 and I average 40-60 FPS on POTCO which seems low for the age of the game. And while at sea my FPS can dip all the way down to 10-20, or when fighting it will drop too.
Buildings
- Sometimes when entering a building the door to exit it will be gone completely so you have to teleport out.
- Sometimes the NPC's face in the building will warp horribly.
End
