Gorilla Cutlass Knockdown Error

Gorilla Cutlass gives you the ability to not be knocked down. When using it against stumps it does not knock me down physically when I get stomped, but I get the message "you cannot attack while knocked down". It seems as though this should not happen due to the weapons abilities. Or maybe I am stunned and it is showing the wrong message? Either way something seems a bit off here.

None of the weapon attributes that block forms of damage or attacks work. This is something I believe they need to focus on.
 
Yes, this is a bug. Earlier in Beta you would still get knocked down then they fixed that but the status remains unfixed and even though you didn't get knocked down you still get the negative status.
