Gravity Falls is an American animated television series created by animator Alex Hirsch for the Disney Channel, now on Disney XD. The series follows the adventures of Dipper Pines (voiced by Jason Ritter) and histwin sister Mabel (voiced by Kristen Schaal) in the fictional town of Gravity Falls, Oregon, while on summer vacation. At the start of the series, twins Dipper and Mabel are sent to spend the summer with their great-uncle (or "Grunkle") Stan, in the mysterious town full of unexpected situations that involve various paranormal and supernatural creatures. Grunkle Stan has the kids help him run The Mystery Shack, the tourist trap that he owns. The twins try to adapt to the weird surroundings but sense there is something strange about Gravity Falls and begin to unlock its secrets. When Dipper uncovers a cryptic journal that offers insight into the town's mysteries, he and Mabel use it and their enthusiastic desire to solve the imminent mysteries that surround them. The series officially premiered on the Disney Channel in the United States of America first episode on June 15, 2012.

There are many hidden secrets in the opening such as ciphers and brief frames of secrets.

I used to watch it a bit when it first came out, it was okay. However, the only cartoons I've ever liked though were the older Spongebob cartoons.

Ah, yes, good old older SpongeBob...

If you could, however, I recommend giving Gravity Falls another try. The quality has definitely been upped since its first airings.

You will, however, need to watch the episodes in order to understand the story.
 
For those of you who are curious about the show, here's a small clip for you so you can see what kind of show it is. It may contain minor spoilers, but it's not anything too major.

 
I have seen some episodes of Gravity Falls, but I'd like to take the time to watch it all the way through sometime.

Unfortunately, I already have a long list of shows I'd like to see, so this one will be near the end of the list.
 
Some of the alpha key puzzles reminded me a alot of Gravity Falls and I was wondering, does anypirate else like it?

It's a great and very funny show for children and adults alike and has an awesome main plot and amazing episodes.

There is a lot of humor ranging from Pop culture to surrealist and It clearly has a lot of work put into it by the people who make it.
