I've been working on a PC build this morning. I'm not very experienced with building these so here is what i have so far you could, tell me if the parts i picked are garbage or if they'll work fine. I know for sure they're all compatible.
Build 1, 2, and 3

And if there is anything else i should add to it i'd love to hear that so i don't screw this up.

As for a monitor i have a TV on my desk it looks about 35in diagonal across the display, will this work just fine?

the 35inch display will work just fine if its dvi/hdmi supported (you will need a cable if the gpu doesn't come with one)

As for the operating system, you can just download an image and use a public key, I'm not recommending this because it's "illegal" but if you want there is also https://www.reddit.com/r/microsoftsoftwareswap/ for cheaper keys
But i did upgrade from windows 8.1 while windows 10 was free for qualifying devices and a couple of sources say i can transfer this to another PC

yeah you can just use your old hard drive and not have to buy a new one :D
unless you have a laptop currently

Pretty good build for your price range. I would give you advice, but the only PCs I've built have been upwards of $1,800. So I wouldn't be much help unless you plan on building a high end gaming PC.

I'd need more information before being able to give you any advice or recommendations:
  • What is your budget? (Ballpark is okay)
  • What will you be using the PC for?
I'm looking at your current build now and I noticed you are using the very outdated LGA 775 platform. It's possible to build a PC that stays within the current price total you are at now and be way more updated.

im probably at my budget (350) because of how expensive windows is, i'll probably use that reddit page which would shave of $40-$65(. i'll be using it for gaming, but nothing monstrously powerful

I've spoken with Mark in-game. I believe he's creating this build because I told him the game runs better on legacy hardware.
