Sword

Honorable Pirate
I've seached some stuff on Google before to see if I can find answers regarding POTCO. (Pirates of the Caribbean Online)

One of my main concerns about my pirate is that if you are at notoriety of 33 and have "skill" levels of:
Cannon 13
Sailing 29
Sword 23
Shooting 13
Doll 14
Dagger 15
Grenade 18
Staff 13
Potions 8
Fishing 8
I've already completed the Black Pearl quest meaning I can do the boss battle and currently working on Raven's Cove quest. (I stopped momentary as I need to get higher levels.)
I am thinking that if your over a notoriety of 30, you'd have to have your skill points higher then 15 at the most. I don't know where exactly to train some of this stuff at.

Currently, I'm trying to get Shooting and Dagger higher right now.

Oh and if someone could tell me a few more things..

Where can you find some famed and legendary weapons? (Locations)

Where are some good spots where YOU CAN GAIN DECENT REPUTATION?

:P

well for training.... at your level (pistol) i would recommend the padres catacombs or lava mines or you can grab a healer and head to the pool at tormenta... (next to the bridge of doom... cant miss it)... also use a lead shot and do NOT take aim.... just stand there and repeatedly fire at them.... (the more hits you get the more rep you get)

Grenades, grenades, grenades. Knock those out first, as soon as possible. I'd master it before mastering any other weapon, if I were you. I had so many ppl telling me that at level 40 or up, it'd be too late to rake the good rep for grenades (take my words for it, unless you want to feel the pain that I have gone through and been going through at the moment). The rep is lower the higher lvl of notoriety we are in general, but especially slow and 'painful' for grenades. Unless you have higher level friends who would heal you for days. Other weapons are pretty 'easy' and enjoyable to master (at least for me). Potions are not included .... ;)

I'd stay at the lava pit glitch - The Catacombs (Padres) until I reached lvl 25-ish, then I'd go to Tormenta - Thrall room (do mostly on Urchinfists, they are the higher level grenadiers). Thrall capts will chase you around, and so will other enemies with voodoo dolls (molusks) and swords (seabeards, kelpbrains), and your health will go down so fast. But not urchinfists and spineskulls (they are grenadiers).

Couldn't have said it better myself. I'm lvl 46 with grenade lvl 20 and I regret it every day for not mastering them when still In the 30's.

way back back a few years ago... a pirate named Johnny Mak hated grenades... now i love them mind you... well he had 15 levels to go to be fully mastered... it took SO LONG honestly i think it took a good month or so to master and all i was using when i fought was them. just a bad situation. get those done as early as possible mate. The rest can take your time on as the rep isnt too bad on them if you do things right get a crew together and loot it out at dark or tormenta that way not only are you leveling but your looting also get yourself some fun toys!

Welcome to the forums!!

For Shooting, I would suggest Darkhart. Just stand back, and keep shooting him until he dies. There is a glitch where he will not move when you attack him. When you attack him, he will throw a couple knives at you, and then switch to sword and not move until you kill him. Remember to just shoot, don't take aim. The more hits, the more rep. Also a fairly large crew will do for crew rep.

Agrees with everything except for the take aim....-
You would want to take aim. Just not fully. You click and hold for a split second then release and you get alot more rep... Same with long volley on grenades.

Lots of great advice here for you Sword! I definitely agree with everyone about grenades.lol Really wishing I hadn't put it off. If I ever make another pirate I will take care of them first. Kingshead is a great place for staff, I mastered mine there last summer pretty quickly. :piratemickey:

I know, this is great advice.

Well, to me, I think grenades are easy to level up but shooting is more harder for me. (I have no valid explaination..)

@John
Where is General Darkhart?
I've tried finding him but I am always unsuccessful.

Most anything you want to know has been discussed here, just type in what you want to know ...

Go to Padres, and go through Beckett's Quarry, and El Sudoron and you should end up in an abandoned town. Use your map to find the gunsmith, and DH will be under a tent near the gunsmith.

yo sword. i have found that by not using most of the skill points you get as you level you will get alot more rep and level much faster. also by spliting the weapons, using a dagger for the first half of the kill and finshing them off with a pistol will also inprove your rep numbers. hope this helps ya out mate.:flag:

Agree. If you have a healer or two, take on a higher level boss and rotate through your different weapons. Good chance of getting full rep for several weapons per kill.

I gain REP by attacking Dragoons in KingsHead with a throwing knife and I get 50 exp each kill my dagger level is 20 so you can trust me, also you can kill on Outcast or CutThroat to get quick xp that is the way I suggest so I thtink you should try it, a good skill to get is vipers nest I really helps with getting xp for gun I can help you I because I hate guns in video games, all I can suggest is for you to get a repeator and to spam and kill them like that a good perk to get is the one that makes it so your dagger and gun accuracy is better because you hit alot more when you have it

as the great Mark Twain said "There are three types of lies, lies, darned lies, and statistics" and "The good men will always be lonsome".
