Question How to turn off email notifications?

I turned off this option in preferences yet I still get an email for almost every notification I get:

Is there any way to turn off getting emails for notifications outright? It's really clogging my inbox up. Thanks for responding.

Double check the Contact Details that you have check marked. If you hover over your name next to the envelope, then you'll have a drop down list. Select Contact Details in the left column, it will open up a new page.

Here is what I have selected and deselected.

Might check out Alert Preferences as well, though I believe those are just ways to get alerts when logged in or after logging in.

The preferences for watched threads only change future threads you reply to.
