Ahoy all!
I recently figured out how to view your favorite website "back in time"! This means that if the site was changed or updated, you could go back to previous updates and such and see how the site looked a few years ago, etc. You can view websites such as the Pirates Online website, to see how the site was still being developed even before the game was released.
NOTE: This will only work with older websites.
Here is the link you must go to: http://www.archive.org/web/web.php
After you go there, type in the box the URL of the website.
NOTE: ON THE PIRATES ONLINE WEBSITE, ONLY TYPE PIRATESONLINE.COM. NOT PIRATESONLINE.GO.COM. IT WON'T SHOW THE BETA VERSIONS.
Also, some of the dates on the calendar may not work.
After you've entered the URL, click Take Me Back!
You will come to a page with years at the top. You can view each year's updates by clicking on the box. You will be redirected to a calender. Dates circled in blue you can click, and view the website back in time. These dates are most likely when the site was updated.
