They make mistakes a lot just like disney did and I doubt the mods remember each rule or even check the rules before accepting or declining but they could probably just change the rules a bit to make question marks acceptable.Speaking of guild names not following the game's naming guidelines, the guild " Mercy? " seems to bypass the naming guidelines as Periods, apostrophes, and hyphens are the only punctuation/symbols allowed, but must be separated by a letter. For example: Joe's Pirate, Pirate-Anne, Mr. Awesome. This is a clear abuse of someone's power.
There's a difference between developers, to which I'm very grateful, and moderators.Oof that's a little harsh don't you think. Be lucky you even have a TLOPO instead of sitting here saying the mods are bad. You should be appreciative.
The size of the guild should make no difference. If allowances are made for some and not for all, then the rules effectively have no meaning.Ok but maybe it was just a mistake that was made so long ago that it'd be weird to revoke a name for such a large guild. In that case they should be cool and just allow question marks for everyone.
The difference is that if the guild name violated the rules, which we know it does, and it was allowed through anyway by moderators, either intentionally or unknowingly, whether it was an honest mistake or a misclick, then it was the moderators who made the mistake, not the developers. Yes, they are all on the same team, but they do not serve the same function and thus they need to be treated differently. Moderators are more present on the front lines of the game, as the developers themselves spend most of the time constructing it, and so I would think it prudent that the moderators are scrutinised, just as we do the developers are. The difference is the individual functions that are criticized.Which are all apart of the same team. Shouldn't make a difference of what their title is.
