Request I got banned for saying "rofl" too many times.

Dear administrators,

This is a message concerning a ban I received today of 24 hours. The reasoning was that I said rofl too many times.

I know what some of you are thinking, it has the word "butt" in it, which some may consider a cuss word. However, my argument is that it is a light-hearted acronym to express laughter much like rofl or lol. In addition, if a child is exposed to the acronym it is very doubtful they know what it means, and if they do they should be able to handle it.

This is clearly because of the forum's autocorrect feature that changes another less appropriate acronym to "rofl". It basically means "laughing my rear off".

As far as OP's beliefs on if the acronym should be allowed, there have already been multiple threads discussing this exact issue and the chat filter will stay as is, barring a huge change from the TLOPO staff. Sorry, but there's really not a dicussion to be had here.

Like Dreadful said, there have been a couple threads about topics such as this, and the developers have stated their position. So, barring some large, unforeseen change, it will likely remain as such.

If some of you are desperate for saying this acronym, you could just type "/rolf" (without quotations) on the chat and a message will pop-up that states you have been rolling on the floor laughing to other pirates around.

There is no need to complicate things that are straightforward. Emotes does not get you banned because they are clear-cut. Thank you.
