If I had US$ 1,000,000 ...

Everybody has wishes. Some of us are lucky enough to have a spare of US$ 1 million; and some of us have to work for it. Either way, this is a 'hypothetical' thread; it would be nice if we could achieve this and apply what we would want with it. But if not, let it be a fun thing to exercise. Choices are totally individual, however, being offensive is NOT ALLOWED here. Let's be nice and tolerant, there is nothing to lose in doing so. You have 'unlimited length' of list if you wish. :)

If I had US$ 1 million, I would ... (in the order of execution for me)

1. Divide it, and invest some of it 'wisely' in stock market (for tech or bio engineering businesses)
2. Some profit from investment went to set up a scholarship fund for unfortunate students from groups that I picked.
3. Some other profit went to ASPCA (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) as a revolving donor
- http://www.aspca.org/
4. Save the rest in a consevative type of savings (certificate of deposit maybe) and use it for the future need.
5. Buy a land and allow myself to design my own medium size of house that were energy efficient and eco-friendly.
6. Travel around the world just once.

What would you do?

I would (in order) :
  • Pay my own way into Harvard University to become a high-pay lawyer.
  • Buy a large beach home in California.
  • Buy a moonlight black Lamborghini Gallardo (oh yeah... :D)
  • Build a large garage to store all of my cars.
As you can see...

Hate to say it but the beach home in California alone is probably way more than one million dollars.

1.Buy a nice old school Camaro SS Black rims with really good tread tiresand 2 packs of NOS with power steering
2.Go to collage and get a degree in automotive
3. Open up my own coats/graphics/detail/garage shop.
4. Retire at 60
( step between 3-4 pay off payments )

@constance and poisenden, it actually would be about 1,000,000 , cause when disney sees big bucks they go flying towards them :) lol

"So" many directions that I could go with this one, lol.

Well...I guess if all of my debt was taken care of & if I had money previously saved before this million, I feel that I would be compelled to:
  1. Travel, travel, travel &...visit places around the world that I had always desired to see.
  2. Purchase the "dream home" that my Mom & Dad had always wanted.
  3. Become shareholder/acquire investment stock within the pharmaceutical industry.
  4. Drive/become owner of a Ferrari sports car.
  5. Fund (global) research projects into areas of particular need (i.e., poverty, cancer, famine, clean water, etc.).
  6. Buy a good pair of running shoes, lace them up, & participate in the festival - "Running of the Bulls" - in Pamplona, Spain. OLE! :daggermouth:
  7. "Bribe" Orlando Bloom & Kiera Knightley to appear in the next POTC film, along with Johnny Depp.
  8. Give $money$ to the church & to a few of my "good" friends.
  9. Own/have "complete" control over a pet monkey . Train this monkey to fetch me food from the refrigerator.
  10. Manage the construction of a tennis court, swimming pool, hot tub, sauna, massage parlor, barbeque station, golf course, polo lounge, dance floor, & ice-cream stand...ALL within the confined space of my backyard (to make the neighbors 'jealous').

25,000 for me
15,000 for stock market
40,000 to be split between family members
15,000 saved for emergencies
5,000 for charity
