If I had US$ 1,000,000 ...

I would (in this order):
-Buy this apartment from my landlord, so no more rent would have to be paid
-Buy my dad a house (he's always wanted one of his own)
-Donate 10,000 to 4 different organizations of my choice (preferably ones to cure disease or prevent abuse)
-Buy some cool clothes, items, and Fancy cat toys (for my cats :D)
-Give each of my parents 10,000 for whatever they wish to do with it
-Put the rest in a bank account to contribute to my college fund

1 buy a small house
2 get a nice car
3 buy a new increadibly fast computer
4 but the best security system i can afford
i dont really care about much else id save the money for groceries and ect

1 - pay what I owe
2 - continue with school, so that I can do something OTHER than what I'm doing now.
3 - more money in Roth IRA Account.
4 - give to those I love in my life (cash, gifts, etc)

Like #2 told Dr Evil, a million dollars isn't a whole lot of money anymore.......

Yep, I was fully aware of that and I agree. However, we - humans - hardly ever feel satisfied of what we have, so it really does not matter that whether number (for a hypothetical situation like this) is US$ 1 million or 1 billion; we could always find something to do with it. So let's settle with something more 'realistic' to more ppl. I'd go totally over board with US$ 1 billion, including something 'unthinkable' in normal circumstances - which would be so 'out there'. I don't want that; it's not fun if we could do "whatever we want". Instead, it takes an art to assign US$ 1 million into things that are 'just right' for the amount.

Thoughts about using profits from investment to do other things, live off of profits from investment, or pay for an expensive house after finishing a college degree and working, are among those smart answers that we would have not seen if we had had US$ 1 billion ...

Honestly, Im only 14. To young for stock market right now :) LOL. but someone smart needs to get in office and think of something....... :/

With one million I would
-Pay off all my familys debt
And depending on how much I have left
-Put a nice big portion in the stock market
-Save the remaining for me and my future

Pay the property taxes on my house for the next 10 years.
Buy a new car, probably a Hyundai
Buy a new 47 inch flat screen t.v. and an Alienware computer
Buy a laptop
Buy a new cell phone
Buy a new mattress
Put $50,000 in 5 different CDs at 5 different banks
Invest the rest
