Isla De Muertos Island coming soon?

Anybody know if the Isla De Muertos Island is coming soon? I hear rumors and researched it and there are concepts for it but the question is when's it coming out? Any ideas?

I can honestly say that I have not heard anything about this....... Where have you heard these rumors? It does sound interesting...
 
I researched it on google and saw concepts of it on youtube. i mean if you think about it, this game pretty much revolves around the first and sorta half of the second part of the pirates movies. because ravens cove is in the second movie, so maybe they are moving forward, it would make alot of sense. and if you also notice, kingshead and cutthroat isle are very very very close together now and theres this gap there. my guild members pointed it out to me. i think the map was rearranged when they did the last update. could davy jones be coming to the game? its possible in my opinion. hey maybe im wrong but never hurts to hope :)

I can shoot the link over to anybody who's interested. its been the topic of my guild for a while now

I went on test and took some screen shots to show that, unfortunately, the islands have not been moved, as no update has been done on test since April 11, 2012.

Its unlikely. At some point between the first and second movie Isla De Muertos sank beneath the waves. Considering Barbossa has moved his loot to Devil's Anvil, its safe to assume that the island has already sunk.
 
i do personally think that they have been moved very slightly, but maybe i'm seeing things. maybe its not true, and maybe me and my guild are just imagining things. Just trying to get some sort of hope that they'll release something! anything at all. Disney does have a tendency to release updates in bulks, so maybe it'll be another bulk update?

I do know that some of this is fake, just by looking at it, but i do think some of it is real. and yes i do realize the date is old, but hey i think were all itching for something new and some sort of hope that they'll pull through.
I mean even the clothes of the month are the same thing every month.. Just different colors..

How about you read Dent's comments on the video. :P
 
After checking out the video, the thread, and dent's comments, I must say I would be pleased if they went that route with the next update. Actually, I would pleased if they updated anything. Personally, I wanted to see Singapore as the new island to fall into the Caribbean Map. I feel as it was at the second leg of the movie series, it would give a stronger challenge to the higher level pirate community. New Fighting Areas, Story quest for Sao Fang possibly, and a new line of shops and skills, you can gain from the island. I think if they went anywhere, they would aim to keep the line of movies going, but I feel like I've seen way to many enemies in Tormenta, to even want to do a quest involving more of Davy Jones Crew and a Dead Mans Chest. Lastly, I think adding Singapore would be a nice transition into a future Pirates 4 and 5 movie update ( If the time ever came ). Just a few thoughts :xbones:

Disney themed-parks and resorts will expand it's market to include China, apparently. :eek:

*According to the article included below, "Shanghai Disney Resort" will be expected to open at the end of 2015 (just in time actually for the 5th POTC movie).
The idea for a "Singapore-type" addition to POTCO would make perfect sense, inorder to promote further the expansion of such an addition to Disney's themed-park family.

*IF this would happen, I will most certainly present that Singapore story Will Nightwolf keeps bugging me about, lol. ;)

It would be very interesting if Isla de Muerta was added to the game, but it's not feasible, unless Disney just wants to ignore the facts from the movies. To quote Mr. Joshamee Gibbs from Dead Man's Chest:

"...What with the Isla de Muerta going all pear-shaped and to be claimed by the sea, and the treasure with it." (Or something like that lol).

So unless there's some new storyline investigating the reasoning for it, or perhaps there is some quest that involves us and shows the actual destruction of Isla de Muerta, I simply can't see how they could add it to the game, as exciting as the prospect is.
 
How 'bout shipwreck cove then?

A few months ago I noticed that the "backlot" area on Cuba changed shape a bit, I've always thought they should make use of that area.
