They didn't actually, the devs made it quite clear there was going to be a rollback in regards to a reputation error.

I understand your frustration but there was a perfectly good reason for the rollback.

Mixed feelings were to be expected. However, my "THANKS" to the devs for listening to the needs of the community and trying to fix the issues. You're doing an amazing job revitalizing the game and giving us back what we all love & missed!
:thanks:

Sorry to hear. Folks were warned well in advance. Part of the price being paid for Beta.

@Uipipipz If you're going to uselessly attack the developers with empty conclusions such as the ones you reached, at least be sure to do some fact finding first.

1. The developers announced that the game would be rolled back today, February 2nd. They warned that a day of progress would be lost.
2. Knowing that alerts and other posts of the roll back were popping up everywhere, you still made the decision to play, to level, and to unlock items. That is on you.
3. As administrators made clear in the past, this is Beta. The game is in it's testing stages, so stuff like this is going to happen. Your job is to test the game, and report bugs and errors on the forums, or to devs.
4. As I stated in my 3rd point, and this point is the most important of all, the game is not meant to be enjoyed yet. Again, your job is to be a tester, not to enjoy the game as if it was in full release. Instead of bickering, and complaining about what happened to you, take it with a grain of salt, and understand that things happen in a game's beta stages.

If you want the game to get out of beta faster, help test it. Don't attack devs.

Next time, be sure to at least think before you say. I'm not saying you don't have the right to complain, you do. But I didn't see other people complain when they lost their stuff. Everyone knew the consequences of the roll back, but faced it like a grown up.

I never read the post... whoops... all that fishing yesterday... lol oh well, tis easy. And I didn't get many good items yesterday, best thing was a rare sea chart I already had lol.

Edit- my autocorrect hates me, fixed some spelling.

Just want to point out as well that POTCO did this AFTER it was already live. I remember losing some leveling and items back when POTCO did it. Thankfully this is the only time that TLOPO has had to do this and hopefully the lag issue will be fixed. To me, fixing that problem is more important the losing a few levels or a few items.

I hope you do not give up on TLOPO and continue to play.

As many here have already pointed out, TLOPO pointed out that there would be a rollback on their database numerous times. They've stated this in game, they placed a giant red banner on the Launcher, as well as make posts about it on the forums. I am grateful for the multitude of notices that a rollback was planned. They did not screw up because they let the players know ahead of time. Because of this, many people stopped leveling and playing so that they won't lose their progress. If you continued to level or loot, then anything you lost is because of your own screw up, sorry.

I honestly believe the Players not affected by this glitch should not be affected by the Rollback. but they only have the Full System Rollback so makes since. Thank You Devs for Fixing the Issue. :)

It only affects you if you played in the time that is affected by the rollback. Stuff like levels, looted stuff etc

Well my bad, should have made more reaserch, thank you all for the critisism, sorry for "uselessly attack the developers", that surely was not my intention. Thank you all, im not salty anymore.
Keep doing good work Devs, and im really sorry for this trouble.
Apologies always go a long way, and it's quite alright. Some people just handle stress differently.

On behalf of everyone in this community, thank you for apologizing.

LOL, I was wondering when some pirate would claim they lost everything...
I think I lost a snaplock, a Cabin boy, a worn cutlass and maybe a tank shirt.
Buwaaah...
Savor it!

I feel really bad, im really sorry to all, especially to the devs.

It takes courage to apologize when you realize you acted incorrectly, kudos. Most players just continue to argue, get even more defensive, and pretend that they're correct no matter the circumstances. Your sincere apology in nearly unprecedented, amongst the players who come to the forums and lash out at the devs. I'm sure the Devs will accept your apology, thanks for coming around and being an adult about it. Hope you continue to play the game, just remember it's not going to always be smooth sailing in beta.

Suggest you take a look at my signature, the quotes there might give you some insight.
