This thread is not meant to scare anyone.

As I sit here at this very moment,
CNN is reporting the following in light of today's "terrorist attacks" which targeted citizens of Paris, France:
  • A reported 153 people dead at this moment
  • A possible 6 or 7 different locations targeted (in a coordinator 'planned' attack)
Among the places which were targeted included a restaurant, a soccer (or football) stadium/game where France was hosting German players, and a concert hall referred to as the "Bataclan" where an American rock-group was playing for fans. *Keep in mind this all took place 3-4 hours ago today as I write this; November 13, 2015 (a Friday night for Parisians whom were out enjoying themselves at these and other public events).

Anyone whom "really" knows me...knows that I do not tolerate injustice! For what it's worth, I particularly detest acts which target INNOCENT people. ***I feel this way both in real and online...

May this thread serve as a reminder to EVERYONE reading this that within your daily life and personal activities...you continue to remain vigilant. Do this for yourself -and- do it for your loved ones
!

(Note: The victims terrorized and shot at the concert at Paris' 'Bataclan' were likely the same age as you; just young adults out on-the-town on a Friday night, hoping to have a good time).

You are never...out of the fight!

The mere fact that this terrorist attack has put French President François Hollande and his government to close borders to the Schengen and the world is just absolutely terrible. It saddens me that such an attack not only was successful, but that it comes just days after a suspected terror attack on a western jetliner killing hundreds. Could a new trend surface in which terror attacks aren't something that appear once in a blue moon but be a rapid snap of the finger rhythm? My heart goes to France and Paris, I admire their unity in such a horrific time, accepting complete strangers into their apartments in a rough time for France.

It's such a horrible thing, taking pleasure by harming other people. That's exactly what these insane terrorists did today. My thoughts and heart go out to the people of Paris and the families of those who were killed.

As Shamus pointed out, be aware of your surroundings, because even in America we've had our share of crazy people intent on harming others. We (the civilized world) need to take a much stronger stand against radicalism in order to prevent more tragedies like this one and the Western jetliner.

1. Prayers for the victims & their families

2. This is why I stay home, I don't go anywhere...I have been to maybe 3 movies at a theater since 1995....family,home,safety,warmth, food & the ability to communicate with others on the internet...why would I need to go anywhere when I have all that here? Outside is not safe...

Well, slot of theatres are putting up security measures such as checking purses and bags and stuff.I'm a little worried about Star Wars 7,such a big movie someone may try to go crazy there.

Found this to be pretty moving. Praying for those with friends and family in Paris right now

That though, to be clear, wouldn't have stopped this terror attack because they came unmasked guns blazing into the theater. They didn't try to conceal what they have. A lot of the theater shootings the US has had is more so mental health related and not international terrorism.

It is with my greatest disappointment to acknowledge how the world truly falls apart where it should have been united. I would like to give my condolences to the families of all those souls who left this world behind yesterday. May they rest in peace now. These tough moments, my thoughts and heart is with France and Paris.

We have lighted up White Tower in the honour of all those souls! In the name of freedom, democracy cannot be blackmailed!

I get what you're saying but ... F E A R which originates from this world - is not (really) why we were all made - in my opinion.

I hear ya. And while although, here in the U.S., one particular shooting was due specifically to the shooter's own "mental health," I don't buy such an excuse the media continually pawns such tragedy upon (for a person's own 'heart' is truthfully at the core of the problem, for that is what inspires acts of both good and evil).
