Although teleport is handy, I kinda like sailing and sinking a few ships along the way. Sometimes I'll even stop at an island on the way just to play around. I've found my best treasures in the old game that way. But the way I see it, as long as yer havin' fun that's what matters!

I devised a somewhat reliable teleport for crews and friends I guess. I'm sure others know to do this too.
Since we cannot teleport to our friends/crew in-game, what I do is as follows;
If your crew or friends crash and wind up back on Tortuga, Port Royal, wherever, one of the players still on the island in question runs to the dock (take turns, be fair) and launches their boat. The friend boards the boat already at the island in question, and then drop the anchor. Voila, you have now teleported to the island in question.
Of course, someone needs to already be at the island desired, and someone needs to sail there to begin with, but it sure beats sailing the distance over and over again after crashes.
