No the people get toxic for no reason because they're 'exp" farming.. like its a game..Promotion of negativity with no constructive input?
I don't see how the land looting system is 'toxic' or 'broken' (As I've seen it described in many other threads) Is it difficult to find the exact famed or legendary weapons you are looking for? Yeah it definitely is.
Is it impossible? Not at all.
Just because you spend hours at a time grinding at a looting spot, doesn't mean you'll find what you're after, or that you deserve it. It's not a system that pays out like that all the time. Patience is key, the cursed weapons have been out like barely a week. Play the game because you enjoy playing it, the finds you get are icing on the cake.
If everything was just handed to you, and a few hours of grinding at a looting spot guaranteed a set number of famed and legendary, nobody would hardly care anymore.
(Just note, when I'm saying 'You' in this post, I'm not directing this at the OP, but to everyone across the community that complains about how the looting system is 'Toxic' and 'Broken'.)

"EDIT: "Just because you spend hours at a time grinding at a looting spot, doesn't mean you'll find what you're after, or that you deserve it."
A great word from our devs. "Despite the hours you put into grinding, you don't deserve what you want. Go screw yourself, we got 999 other players"
First,
I am not part of the dev team.
And I stand by the statement I made. Maybe the amount of hours one spends grinding for loot makes oneself feel they are entitled to what they want.Nowhere does it claim that "if you spend 'X' amount of time grinding for loot, you'll find 'X' amount of famed and legendary, guaranteed!" It's not like that here.
What makes a game 'toxic' is constant negativity. I'm not saying we all have to be optimists who can't see the flaws in anything, but goodness! This negativity towards a game that, 1. is still in development and testing, 2. is completely free, 3. that nobody is forcing you to play.
There is a constructive way to critique and promote a healthier atmosphere. This just isn't it.
"First, I am not part of the dev team. "
The FOUNDER tag gives off the wrong impression.
"1. is still in development."
Great! Now they should fix bugs to get it OUT of development, huh?
"What makes a game 'toxic' is constant negativity."
I'm negative because nobody else is, and if everyone's praising the devs, they don't need to work hard to get liked.
"2. is completely free."
There are tons of good, free games. Roblox, RuneScape, Unturned, etc. Now, let me say this for the last time. BEING FREE DOES NOT MEAN YOU CANNOT BE CRITICIZED.
"3. that nobody is forcing you to play."
Or maybe, just maybe, I LIKE the game, and the only reason to get a response from higher ups is to whine and complain.
"Nowhere does it claim that "if you spend 'X' amount of time grinding for loot, you'll find 'X'"
Nope. But screwing with drop tables don't help. And besides, you said something more along the lines of.. "Forget any time you put in this game, we don't owe you anything. Grinding is dumb, and we made it harder!"
"Maybe the amount of hours one spends grinding for loot makes oneself feel they are entitled to what they want."
Yes, normally a lot of people feel like they deserve some kind of reward for putting in hours after hours of time in the game. That's how game progression works.
Need I go on?
EDIT: Maybe the inclusion of "or that you deserve it." seems kinda spiteful.
I could make a response to each of your points, but it's pretty clear that your negativity is a totally intentional little crusade you're on. So I won't argue further, there isn't much reason for me to do so.
"And besides, you said something more along the lines of.. "Forget any time you put in this game, we don't owe you anything. Grinding is dumb, and we made it harder!"
You are free to express your opinion on any type of topic no matter how much I disagree. But do not put words in my mouth. Maybe that's how you interpreted what I meant since you seem to look for things to be negative about.
We obviously have different views on how good/bad the current looting system is, or what it should be.
So as I said, I won't argue any more than we already have.
I want to make a political joke here..."So as I said, I won't argue any more than we already have."
It was good "debating" with you, good sir. Good night.
Your mom is proud of you, and I find that your powers have increased since we last met. (Both good and badi won another internet argument, mom.
) I do find land loot to be worse than sea loot, but when you kill multiple enemies at once, I find that the odds of getting better loot are increased, for obvious reasons. And I also noticed that most reactions occur when harsh words are said, or negativity is spoken. That said, I do not condone the use of negativity without at least explaining your point.^Not very helpful, but it gets a response. It'd get a better response if you added a tad bit more info, even if it is obvious.Land Toxic looting..
Exactly. And we as TESTERS are complaining that the game that WE ARE TESTING has bad drops in chests which are suppose to have good drops. Can you people stop making threads complaining about this and that? The game is in development. We are all here to test the game for bugs and glitches, that's it; simplicity itself.
and I find that your powers have increased since we last met. (Both good and bad)
"SUPPOSED to have good drops"Exactly. And we as TESTERS are complaining that the game that WE ARE TESTING has bad drops in chests which are suppose to have good drops.
Land looting is suppose to be hard.... sailing is what was broken because all you had to do is sit around on a high tier ship and do nothing. - Land looting shows your dedication and skill in the game. Sailing shows how many "AFK RUNS!" you can attend.Promotion of negativity with no constructive input?

The problem was that SKULLS which are SUPPOSED to drop good loot, have been nerfed from the original game. (the only new content that they added.) This was done INTENTIONALLY, may I add. (sure, it's probably to nerf sea looting, but still.)"SUPPOSED to have good drops"
LOL have you ever played another mmo before? do you understand that the items you think you're entitled to are considered legendary or famed? These tiers are above RARE, so use your brain and think about what rare means, then multiply that rarity. It's not SUPPOSED to be anything, other than uncommon at most. I don't think you understand the meaning of grinding, or even FINDING loot. You're GRINDING, not completing a quest, so you aren't SUPPOSED to get anything after "x" amount of time.
