I'm relatively new. I played way back in the day but never even made it to level 40 back when that was level cap. It is safe to say I wasn't the most efficient leveler.
I just learned today that shooting the masts and sails of ships provides better exp than hull (obviously because more hits = more exp). It is something so small that you wouldn't really think about it if you didnt know better. I also noticed that it was easy to bug out npc ships with my light brig, but now that I have a galleon, the ships rarely stop moving like they used to which makes fighting them a bit more tedious. I am not sure if that is just a coincidence or not, or if ship size/type actually has an effect on npcs.
Are there any other tricks that might not be apparent while leveling that could make it go faster/easier? I am enjoying the grind right now honestly, I just wanna make sure I am being efficient about it.
