Question Massive Frame Drops on TLOPO compared to other games.

I have had an issue for a while with massive frame drops on TLOPO compared to other games. I believe this has to do with an AMD graphics card. I am running DirectX 12, and despite the below specs exceeding the recommended, I only run 5-10 FPS.

I think they are working on finishing the game and not perfecting performance.

Game performance isn't being left out. Just recently an updated version of Panda 3D was implemented, greatly improving FPS and overall stability of the game. Of course there are still issues, this being a work in progress.

TLOPO currently doesn't support DirectX 12 (the actual game engine itself still doesn't either). We currently only have OpenGL support. We are planning on adding DirectX support, but it's not a top priority.

Recently we updated our game to the latest engine which fixed a TON of performance issues. Most players get 30-60FPS at all times in the game (on high graphics!). We have gone through the game and patched up a lot of the lag issues. I don't think this is due to you specifically having an AMD card, but that card might have poor OpenGL support (I'm not a hardware guy, I'm a software guy).

The community has found one workaround to get the game running a tad better, if you open up the Task Manager while TLOPO is running and set the process to the highest priority you should see an immediate performance boost.

We apologize for the issues you are having. We're looking into DirectX support which should make gameplay better on Windows!
