Muertos Moon is around, and the docks of Abassa, Tortuga are just about one of the most unsafe spots you could possibly be. Keep an eye in the sky and an ear to the wind if you want to play it safe.

lol my game crashed when i had lively bucko stew, swift foot 3, and full health and someone threw a grenade at me lol

If there was a Muertos Moon out and then event was LIVE then you were undead resulting in anyone being able to kill you.
