Question Melodic Death Metal? What about other Metal genres?

I dig In Flames, Dark Tranquillity, and Scar Symmetry the most. I also dabble a bit with Born of Osiris, Parkway Drive, and a host of others I've listened to bits and pieces of.

Does this spark anyone's fancy?

I liked In Flames a long time ago but they became way too soft for my taste.
