I think that the ships are quite unusable you can sail, shoot and repair. Thats it! I think there should be a captains quarters, poker and blackjack tables and maybe viewing positions like the sides. Like in the movies. I hope that my ideas are taken into consideration.

as long as you can not shoot crew members on the other ship, about the only other position I can see being created; without turning it into a full blown simulation; is the crow's nest. Maybe allowing anyone up there to spot ships at a farther distance?
 
I do like that idea, but the reason we cannot see all ships at all times is the game loading area.
 
I think it could be cool if you could host events and stuff on ships, I like the idea of poker/blackjack tables and such in board.
